Fynxo
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
1. Who we are
Fynxo App is a family learning app operated by Fynxo Kiddies Solutions Ltd ("Fynxo", "we", "us"). Fynxo helps parents teach children financial literacy, life skills, and values through lessons, chores, and rewards. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Fynxo mobile app and the Fynxo website.
2. Accounts are created by parents
Fynxo is designed for families. A parent or legal guardian creates the family account, adds child profiles, and controls what children can do in the app. Children sign in with a username and PIN created and managed by their parent. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts on their own, and children cannot make payments, change family settings, or share information publicly through the app.
3. Information we collect
From parents:
Name, email address, and password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form); your subscription plan and payment references; optional preferences such as moral-lesson themes; and, if you choose to enable faith content, your family's faith preference (see section 6).
About children (provided by the parent):
Child's first name or nickname, username, date of birth (used to show age-appropriate content), avatar choices, and activity in the app — lessons completed, quiz results, chores done, coins and XP earned, badges, streaks, saving goals, and spending requests. If you use family encouragement or conversation features, the messages and reactions you and your child exchange through the app are stored so we can show them to your family.
Photos:
If a parent enables photo proof for chores, a child can take or upload a photo showing a completed chore. These photos are visible only to the child's own family, are stored securely with our media hosting provider, and are never shared publicly or used for advertising.
Automatically:
Device type, a push-notification token (so we can send reminders and updates you have opted into), app version, crash reports (so we can find and fix errors), and, where enabled, aggregated app usage analytics that tell us which features are used. We do not collect precise location, contacts, or browsing history.
4. How we use information
We use this information to run the Fynxo service: operating family accounts, tracking learning progress, letting parents assign and approve chores, awarding rewards, sending notifications you have enabled, processing subscriptions, providing customer support, and keeping the service secure. We also use aggregated, de-identified information to understand how features are used and improve the app.
We do not show third-party advertising in Fynxo, and we do notsell personal information — yours or your children's — to anyone.
5. AI-assisted features
Some features use artificial intelligence, for example generating lesson content and suggesting age-appropriate discussion questions for parents. When these features run, we send only the minimum needed — such as the lesson topic, the child's first name, and their age range — to our AI provider to generate the content. AI providers process this on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
6. Faith preference
Faith content in Fynxo is optional. A parent may choose a family faith preference (currently Christian or Muslim) so their children see matching faith lessons; families who set no preference see no faith content. We understand religious belief is sensitive information: we use this preference only to select which content your family sees, we never share it for marketing, and a parent can change or remove it by contacting us at any time.
7. Leaderboards
Fynxo includes an optional leaderboard that ranks children by points earned. Leaderboards display a child's chosen username and avatar — never their real name, photo, age, or any contact information — together with their points and level. If you prefer your child not to appear, contact us and we will exclude them.
8. Payments
Subscriptions are processed by our payment provider (Paystack). Your card details are entered directly with the payment provider and never touch Fynxo's servers — we receive only a payment reference and confirmation so we can activate your subscription.
9. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us run Fynxo, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
payment processing (Paystack); secure media storage for photos and lesson assets (Cloudinary); transactional email such as verification and password-reset messages (ZeptoMail); push notifications (Expo and Google Firebase); AI content generation (Mistral AI); crash reporting (Sentry); and cloud hosting for our servers and database. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and service.
10. Children's privacy
Protecting children is central to how Fynxo is built. Children use Fynxo only under an account their parent created and controls. Parents can see their children's activity, approve or reject chores and spending requests, and decide which features (such as photo proof or faith content) are on. We collect no more information about a child than the service needs, we never use children's information for advertising or profiling, and we never make it public. A parent can review or delete their child's information at any time (see section 13).
11. How long we keep information
We keep your family's information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and reliability.
12. Security
We protect information with industry-standard measures: all traffic to our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), passwords are stored only as salted hashes, child PINs are protected against guessing with automatic lockouts, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your family's information safe and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.
13. Your rights and choices
As a parent, you can access and update your account details in the app, and you can contact us to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or your children, correct it, or delete it. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time. If you are in Nigeria, you have rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act/NDPR; if you use Fynxo from a region with its own data-protection law (such as the EU/UK GDPR), you have the equivalent rights under that law, including the right to complain to your data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@fynxoapp.com. We may ask you to verify you are the account holder before acting on a request.
14. International data transfers
Fynxo is operated from Nigeria, and some of our service providers (listed in section 9) store or process information on servers outside Nigeria, including in the United States and the European Union. Where information is transferred across borders, we rely on our providers' contractual data-protection commitments and safeguards consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
15. Cookies and the website
Our website uses only the cookies and local storage needed for it to function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics cookies to the website in future, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
16. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify parents in the app or by email before the changes take effect, and update the date at the top of this page.
